I think this blog has come to it's end. I mean, all of the major things have been completed. The house isn't done, but I don't think it ever will be. There will always be things to add or fix. I would like to thank those who have commented, followed along, or simply came across this site randomly. I will leave everything open so we can read more comical out bursts from our friends The Ulcer, Browntown, and Fishpants. The contact page will be up to and I will try and answer any questions you may have about the house or the build process. Thank-you.

Putting the floor in really makes it feel like a home. It's finally clean in here! The sub-floor was just a dust haven. The floor went in pretty easily...the hardest part was finding a straight line. I installed it in a day, and then put 3 coats of the clear coat on the following day. I think it turned out pretty good!
The flooring arrived today! Yay! Dougy Fir, how very west coast of me...So, like, it's gotta sit in it's new home for, like, 72 hours or something to, like, totally get better acquainted with it's new environment. We wait...like, totally...whateves...
I was away for over a week, that's why no update...however, I did build a more semi-permanent fence. The horses pretty much have been licking their chops since I moved the house to this location so a slightly more robust fence was needed. It also looks better. Horses will pretty much chew on anything...who knew...
This was a tedious job...lot's of measuring and cutting and more measuring...measuring isn't my strongest. I may have had to do some stuff twice, because my measuring isn't, well...'nuff said.
I put up these cute lil' lights to increase the cute factor! And to make the outdoor space more usable in the evening and into the night!
This is a game changer! Having this outdoor space makes the tiny house feel that much bigger! It was a pretty easy build and didn't take long at all!! And is sooooooooooo worth it!
I finally got back to building...one thing that was lacking was a place to sit and eat or have coffee or surf the world wide web(its just a fad, if you haven't, don't buy in). So I built a table. It's magic, it can go bye-bye!!!
I haven't been working much on the house, I have been doing a lot more living! It's been nice, and I'm happy to report that Tiny House living is pretty great! I never thought I'd actually be a home owner, and it feels good!
I built a chicken coop!!! That was pretty fun! Here is a photo of it! |
