"Let there be light", and then there was light, and then the people asked, "Who are 'they' anyway?" and they replied, "Shut it up, we gave you light!"
So this lil' cutie came yesterday! I took a close photo so you can get a good look at it, and then I took one from further back so you could see how tiny it really is! I'm worried I will trip over it. I am also able to carry around the stove by myself!
Right now, insulation is the only thing I have not done on the house and there are a few reasons for that. Firstly, spray foam is a good option for tiny houses for several reasons, which I'm not going to bother getting into, but there is a lot of knowledge that is needed to do it correctly and screwing it up can be disastrous. Secondly, if I have to wear a hazmat suit, I'm out, unless I'm working along side Mr. White and or Jessie. I also know now, that I will not be painting my walls purple, much to the chagrin of my mother.
After a bit of a slow week, things are going to change in here very rapidly...The last of the important lines have been run, that's the propane line for the propane stove, and the beams have been covered...sprayfoam happens this week. We wait.
Well, after getting settled in the new location, cleaning up the old work site, and taking a bit of a break, I was back at it. I finished hooking up the power and I've got lift off! I can now charge my batteries at my new house!
So, mounting the house to the trailer should have been done a long time ago, but it also needed to be done as we moved the house! Some things you just can't do on your own, so huge shout outs to Alan for all his help and Jason at Small World Excavation for moving my world! It all went pretty smoothly!
I'm building a tiny house on The Sunshine Coast in BC, so I have somewhere to live...I also have no idea what I am doing...
