After a few days of some much need rain, and we didn't get nearly enough, I was back at it. I managed to finish off the trim on the rest of the windows and the door. I also finished sheathing (I've told you about the sheathing before (still don't have a winner on that reference BTW)).
I was walking by The Swamp last night on my way back from a lovely dinner at a friends house. It was dark and I shone the flashlight upon the tiny house, and all of a sudden it looked haunted. Quickly I scampered home through the enchanted forest. Secretly I was hoping there would be a small hobbit or possibly a princess in need of saving... but there wasn't. :(
7 of 14 done, gots to do me the other side of the house yet, but they are coming along...also have to trim the door...
So, I picked up a bunch of wood, and then I put a coat of stain on them, and then I'll put 2 more coats on them and then I'll use those boards to trim my windows...cute, eh?
It was actually easier to build then I thought it would be. Everything takes time, and really that's all it took. I guess we'll see how long it lasts...but I think it looks pretty good. I have to decide on trim, siding, and a roof now...hmmmm...
So, I need a door, obviously...I guess I could buy a white fiberglass one, which seems to be the only option, or I could paint said door, or...I could build my own...It can't be harder then windows, can it? I'm sure it will be much heavier, but how hard can it be?? Really??
I'm building a tiny house on The Sunshine Coast in BC, so I have somewhere to live...I also have no idea what I am doing...
